Zia has been drawing since she was 3 but started pursing art as a serious hobby at a summer camp when she was 16. Though she has no formal education in art or illustration, she cultivated her skills at first with sketchbooks and colored pencils, and then using her laptop when she got her first (non-screen) Wacom tablet at 18. She pursued digital art ever since, until in 2024 she tried and found an affinity for oil painting, which is her preferred medium these days.

Her areas of focus include fantasy and sci-fi art, as well as horror art. She draws inspiration from not only other visual artists, but also from cinematographers and photographers, as well as road trips across the world to see it in all its myriad combinations.

Though she doesn't do so for every painting, she does record the process of several of her paintings, sharing the timelapses on her social media. She also livestreams painting sessions on Twitch.

Zia takes private commissions on a case-by-case basis. She is also open for commercial work.
